Rated 5 out of 5 by from Redmond Hiking Shoe I have just received the shoes and worn them once. By appearance I think they will wear well. They are very comfortable and stylish. I found this pair runs slightly smaller than the Trail Meister IV I am replacing. They still fit but there is less foot room (length). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not very durable I bought these shoes just over 1 month ago and they are failing already. The upper to toe box area has already separated due to what looks like poor quality construction/materials. these are worn on a daily basis at work. not abused. now on to fit and feel. very little lateral support in sole, has a tendency to roll over on both flat level terrain and rocky/sandy soil. i cannot recommend this shoe for anything other than styling at the mall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great from the get go! I purchased this Redmond low hiking shoe for my husband as a Christmas present. He took them right out of box and wore them immediately!! There weren't any complaints on tightness or anything else!! We are currently in the throes of a bitter cold winter so I'm sure when spring comes he will get much more use out of them----still has the last pair from about eight years ago!!! Lol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings These started off very comfortable. They are not very good for gripping the ground though. I've slipped a few times in them. I wear them as every day shoes and they've held up well so far. I wish they had a little more foot grip and were a little wider. They feel a bit narrow even with the 13 wide so I feel like I'm unstable a bit when walking. Otherwise, I love these shoes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hiking Shoe For a moderately low priced hiking shoe, this Columbia Redmond turned out to be a great buy for me. First of all I like the look. More importantly it was very comfortable and had fantastic grip on the mountain hiking we did. The shoe insole felt like it needed a little more cushioning when I first put it on, but that was the last time I noticed it. l love using the shoe for both hiking and for everyday wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from one size doesn't fit all Purchased based on prior experience with similiar product. I was going away and needed a comfortable walker shoe. By the time I opened shoes to wear I "had" to wear them and had no chance to return before putting them on a rough surface. I will never buy again when I "have" no home type trial. These are narrow, tight and not what I was expecting. My loss. I now understand why they were marked down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out of the Box Comfort I am sized an 11.5 triple E. I have paddle feet. It’s hard to find shoes that actually come in wide sizes much less fit well. These fit the bill on both. I’ve only worn them 4 times at this point but in all day situations on a concrete sales floor, they were great. I can’t wait to put them on the trail in October in the Redwoods. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Durability I just purchased my second pair of these shoes. The first pair I had for well over a year and I wore the sole down on them. Everything from the sole up look great, no tears, frays, or issues. I'm hard on my shoes and these took all the abuse. Best shoe I've ever owned. Also, they are very comfortable. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Product I buy Columbia shoes for work because they last forever. These look like they are just as durable as every other pair I have purchased. Next time i'll try to order a wider pair though, I don't think the 4e is actually a true 4e. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Texas Tom Hiking Shoes Great shoes. True to size except for the width. could stand to be a hair wider. I ordered size 14 wide. Other than that they are very comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay I had a pair similar to this but they don’t make that model anymore they were a far better shoe than these. They hurt my feet after wearing them for long periods. I will probably have to buy a different pair

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runs small The standard width did not fit as it was narrow, and I typically have not needed a wide shoe. So if you might tend to wide, order wide. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from very comfortable bought several months ago and the soles have held up well but the uppers are deteriorating. Is there any way to get them replaced or a discount coupon for a replacement pair

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Probably great for a hike I bought these shoes because I walk a LOT for work. I need a shoe that is supportive and comfortable, but also durable enough to last. These shoes are comfortable and provide a great cushion, except for the toe end. I'm sure it's for hiking purposes, but the toe end is really rigid. I hope the more I wear them, the more it will break in, but so far, they remain very rigid at the toe which can get uncomfortable over time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Early wear signs I bougth this pair a month ago or so. It already shows signs of wear where it bends on both sides.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite hiking and walking shoes of all times! I have owned these shoes for about 3 years, and they are still my favorites. I wear them practically every day for hiking, walking or doing errands around town. They look great, are very comfortable, and provide my feet with the support they need. I just bought another pair, since the ones I have are a little worse for the wear (the mesh is getting a small hole in it). I have a bunion, and these are one of the few shoes I can wear comfortably, since the mesh adjusts for my issue. I have tried women's shoes size 10-1/2 regular and wide of other shoes, but they just don't work with my feet. I needed size 9-1/2 medium for men to be just the perfect size. My only complaint is that when I hike on sandy trails (I live near the beach) they do leak sand, so I end up having to empty the sand out after a hike. This is a small price to pay for such awesome shoes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Narrow Feet It is always difficult for me to find any sort of shoes off the rack that fits my size 11 narrow feet. With a normal athletic crew these low top hiking shoes do so with one addition- add a half size. So for my size 11 the shoes I purchased are size 11.5. Have tested many times on my morning 3 mile walk around town and have held up well. These are not water proof but breathe well. Will do well on the trail for the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good ... at first My husband wore these shoes two to three times a week and loved them. No strenuous trail use, mostly just errands around town. But 18 months after purchasing them, a hole developed inside the right heel, through the lining and the padding. A similar spot started to wear inside the left heel. They're now unwearable, because the hole rubs his foot. He's never had this issue with any other pairs of shoes he's owned. We were surprised and disappointed by this flaw, considering the light wear the shoes have received. (And considering that other pairs of Columbia shoes and boots we've owned lasted a decade or more.) We were even more surprised that the company is enforcing its one-year warranty -- again, considering the light wear. I can send the shoes back to the company (at my own expense) for evaluation, but since they're out of warranty, I'm probably out of luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shoes I have ever bought I bought these shoes as opposed to the Keens or Merrills that I have had in the past. I have ben rewarded abundantly. They are all around more comfortable to wear. I hiked extensively in them and found less foot fatigue than I generally have. They are also incredibly stable. The one downside is that they aren't really water proof, but I knew that when I got mesh;) They have actually become my primary shoe most days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Work and Play I love the shoes you can dress down for play or dress up for work. If you work in the rain make sure you order the waterproof. I now have to order the waterproof Shoe to match. I will buy them again and again For a big guy they have a lot of support and stability and a great value By the way I'm a size 17 and the fit is the best yet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly Made I returned the shoe after wearing it in the house. I find Columbia shoes do not follow normal fit standards. My size length and width always run tight in Columbia. I just gave another pair I had gathering dust in my closet to a shoe drive. I am pretty much done with Columbia shoe products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality shoe! Very happy with the purchase of the Redmond Low hiking shoe. They fit comfortably. They aren't too hot for summer work (I have a pair of waterproof columbias and they don't breathe as well and therefor get toasty). I like the sole; however, I would prefer it to not be rounded at the outer edges (I feel like I'm missing out on some grip). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good shoe but feet still hurt These seem to be good sturdy shoes. My husband bought the shoes because the bottom of his feet have been hurting. He thought the shoes would help since they have a thicker sole, But the bottom of his feet are still hurting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very comfortable and stylish low hiking shoes Bought these hiking shoes for my husband who has difficult feet and needs shoes with a wide toebox. After trying on several pairs these hiking shoes fit the bill! Wore them 2 days in a row to work and was very comfortable. So thinking about buying another pair in a different color soon. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Fit I bought Merrill as I have many other pairs and style, yet this shoe was very stiff and the seams at the toes hurt. Returned item and went to the Moabs
