Decades ago, I are mountain house stuff a lot backpacking almost every weekend. I remember it as being great. Imagine my surprise with this stuff. Where is the chicken?

Just had this tonight. I used just a smidge under the recommended amount of water as I’ve noticed after rehydration other products tend to be a bit soupy. This resolved the issue. Recommend water is 13 ounces, I used 12. Product is tasty and contains just the right amount of rice/veggies to chicken ratio. It’s a little bit on the salty side, but I highly recommend!

Please make this flavor in a large can size! This is the first certified gluten free freeze dried meals I’ve found, and having celiac disease, keeping shelf stable food on hand for emergencies is very difficult. Please consider making this flavor in a large can size to have on hand for those instances over the pouch. The flavor is fantastic, and the ease of mind that I won’t get sick is literally priceless and worth every cent! Also enjoy the chicken and rice flavor as well. Please never discontinue!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty good food. Was a bit crunchy as not all the food had re-hydrated. I would wait longer than the instructions recommend.

It says it serves 2, but not really. My finished most of it. I didn't mind as I found it lacking in flavor. Everything I have bought so far I have been happy with, but this was a disappointment.

All Mountain House products are excellent. Chicken Teriyaki is no exception.

Bought as part of multiple meals and pleasantly surprised how delicious it was.

I am currently buying different pouches to try, the chicken teriyaki was awesome. After 10 minutes it was fully cooked and smelled good. I would consider using this product when short on time, not just for emergencies.

After trying another brand that is supposed to have great nutrition and being unable to take more than two bites I was skeptical about freeze dried meals. The chicken teriyaki I just made was very good. I did soak it 9 minutes instead of 5 but I will definitely order more.

I’ve tried the chicken teriyaki for the first time, the meal was delicious and easy to make. I’ve been eating the meals at work while in meetings or at my desk as my schedule been a bit hectic. I’ve even shared my meal with coworkers who now have purchased their own meals. It’s to a point that i don’t want to cook again lol. Keep the great going ReadyWise.

We’re storing up meals for hurricane season and this will be one for sure. Filling and tasty. Living on the coast of NC, we get hit by hurricanes almost every year so we have to prepare for periods of power outages. I have a military background and have lived off C rations, LRRPS and MREs for long periods. These are much better.

Easy to make. No mess. Flavor was ok. I have had other varieties that were better. Edible but not favorite.

The Chicken Teriyaki is my favorite Mountain House dinner for backpacking!
