Rated 2 out of 5 by joshuaz750296863 from Laces just won’t stay tied...what a disappointment. I’ve owned every iteration of the metcon, and while these are the most comfortable version yet for CrossFit, they have some serious problems: The laces do not stay tied. I can’t go more than 5-10 minutes without having to retie them. Obviously, this not only makes the shoe ineffective - but dangerous when doing almost all CrossFit activities. Too easy to trip over when running, doing double unders, burpees, box jump overs. Durability on these isn’t so hot if you’re using them 5-6 days a week, but that’s to be expected - CrossFit is rough on sneakers. The laces tho, that’s just lame. Seriously disappointed. Nike, you can do better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kvn fsro from Solid kicks My first pair of Metcons, time will tell how they perform but here are my first impressions: Color - can't go wrong with B&W it will go with any outfits; the white sole will get dirty easily but I primarily wear this inside the gym; Comfort - not the lightest nor most breathable but then I'm only wearing this for a couple hours of workout; Performance - you draw more power from the ground up and I can definitely tell the difference as I feel more grounded which translates into better form; Durability - time will tell but they look and feel solid; Size - I wear 10.5 dress shoes and 11 fits true to size as my other Nikes; Price - on sale with 20% off coupon, 47% off MSRP with tax included, was a steal;

Rated 5 out of 5 by deucecoupe from Stylish design, very comfortable and great stability I bought these to wear when I train in the gym. I had a different brand before, and the soles on that pair wore down pretty quickly. So far, these soles provide much more cushion and lateral stability when on the treadmill or doing walking lunges. Plus they are quite handsome. Highly recommended. Perfect fit on size, not too narrow or wide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PeterF887711277 from Best Training Shoes on the Market Wrote this view in response to seeing some negative reviews on this page, because they couldn't be further from the truth. The Metcon 4 is probably the best training shoe I have had to date - I've had a number of the Nano series from reebok, and pairs of the Metcon 2's, 3's and 4's. After absolutely loving the 3's the 4's are just a better improvement. These are essentially just a better designed version of the 3's - which is impressive considering how good the 3's already were. They hold up well in just about everything, and are by far the best Metcons I've run in as well. 5/5 hands down

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hot Cakes Mcgee from Great Alternative to Weightlifting shoes This is a great training shoe for lifting weights. I wouldn't use them for anything else. I thought they were comfortable enough to go to work in (warehouse setting) and they made my feet sore after a few hours. I wouldn't use them for long distance running, but light sprinting should be doable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GeezerGeek from Very small shoe Sometimes I do wear a wide shoe but I usually wear a medium width 10.5 US size shoes. Not so with this shoe. It was so small, I could not even get my foot into the shoe. The tongue of the shoe is strapped to the base of the shoe so loosening the laces doesn't give you more room to get your foot into the shoe. The photo shows how much of my foot was not in the shoe when I had my foot as far into the shoe as I could get it. My heel was still about an inch outside the heel of the shoe, even with a very thin sock, so it wasn't even close to fitting. It was so far off that I don't think going up to the next higher size would help much. With such a poor fit, I can't help but believe that there must have been some sort of manufacturing mistake.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JoshB73483144 from Don’t recommend unless you like making squeaky noises walking around. I have had 2 pairs of Metcons and both have had the signature squeak in them after a short times use making them too embarrassing to wear around. Sounds like walking on a gym floor with wet shoes. I had the first pair it happened to so I went out and bought another brand I liked. When the other brand wore out I thought I would try the metcons again hoping that the updated version would have got rid of the issue but 2 months into wearing them, there it was... I went back to the other brand. Too bad too because I thought they were comfortable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ChariM876878579 from Poor design, sole came undone in 2wks and not first time for light usage! This is my 2nd pair of Metcon 4 that has come apart on the side where the sole connects, my husband as well has had this happen to him with his Metcon 4! My first pair lasted nearly a year then came apart with a ton of use, my 2's and 3's have outlasted the 4's! My 2nd pair of Metcon 4 I had for a month and only used for 2wks and it came apart, my husband's first pair of 4's lasted under a month! Poor designing on Nike's part! Really disappointed as I really LOVED the men camo black/gray and my size is the first one to sell out!
