Nice Bag, But

The grab handle is extremely flimsy and I constantly wonder if it will rip or snap when the ruck sack is full. Why not put a sturdier handle on?

Confusing Sizing

I have an Osprey rucksack that says it’s an 18 litre, so I bought the sport lite 20 thinking it would be the same size. However it’s much smaller so I’m having to send it back. It would be much easier if sizing was consistent across all models

This Is A Great Day

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great day bag that still provides support and comfort even without a frame. I got this for my son so he has a day bag when we go backpacking. It easily packs up in his bigger bag or can be attached to the outside to carry. This is the perfect smaller bag for warmer whether when you don’t need all the extra gear. Fits a 3 liter bladder, snacks, and a light jacket easily.

Great buy. Very well thought out. Extremely light and comfortable.

Lovely Practical And Spacious Rucksack!

Really roomy but compact rucksack. Comfortable fit (I am 5” ‘) and this sits easily in my back, resting the weight in my hips. Only a few points lost a star. Would be good if it came with a rain cover and if there were loops to hold the straps in packs when tightened, currently they have lose and can get in the way of could catch in things as you walk by. I will be looking to find a solution but really should be standard on a quality brand like Osprey! Beyond that I was able to pack everything I needed and had a really comfortable walk with this in my back xx

Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect size for day hikes. Several pockets for organizing everything and comfortable to wear.

I’m Tired Of The Big

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m tired of the big book bag/travel backpack, and couldn’t find anything the size I wanted. I saw someone with an Osprey and immediately went home and ordered one. It’s perfect for books, food, drinks, jacket, and small laptop or iPad. Thanks Osprey, for getting out of the cookie cutter box!

Bought This Bag To Replace

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this bag to replace a daylite plus I use for hiking. The daylite plus is perfectly comfortable for hiking but with 3 liters of water in it, the straps become less comfortable. The straps on this sportlite are more robust than the daylite’s straps and I like the back panel of the sportlite better as well. Where the sportlite could use some serious improvement is the smaller storage compartment. Osprey should make it more like the daylight plus. Or just put more robust straps on the daylight plus. Both are great bags in the end.

This Is My Third Osprey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Osprey backpack and I've been very happy with all of them! They're well made and the mesh backing works great for those of us who sweat a lot.

I Used This Pack As

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this pack as my daily pack to hike the Robert Louis Stevenson trail in France last summer. Taking it on the Camino this year. Perfect for a raincoat, lunch, and other daily essentials. The water reservoir makes hydrating easy.

Just What I Had Hoped!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was debating between the Sportlite 15 and the 20. I am glad I went with the 20. True to Osprey items, this backpack is great quality and the color was true to the website. I love it!

Love This Pack

One of the best packs I've used! I took this thing through a whole season hiking, bushwhacking, falling, sliding, and crawling while working as a field botanist and it held up through everything. It's the perfect size to hold all my field gear, water bladder, personal items, and my lunch for a full day in the field, with room!! Plus, the adjustable shoulder and waist straps make it super easy to find that perfect spot where the weight doesn't strain your shoulders or back -- I would take a full 3L of water on top of my gear and lunch in the field and would feel totally fine! I'm not sure if it's advertised at waterproof, but I've gotten caught in rain and hailstorms and my stuff stayed pretty dry. I've accidentally sprayed BEAR SPRAY on this thing and it didn't stain or leak through. It doesn't smell like sweat or BO either, even though I would completely drench the back of it in sweat by the end of each day. Also the water bottle pockets can fit a 32oz Nalgene :) I would say this is not for someone who likes a LOT of organization and pockets since it doesn't offer tooo much of that. But if you don't mind that, it still offers enough space to hold all of your belongings comfortably. I'm considering buying another or a smaller version for everyday use since I love it so much.
